Our aim is to build Lighthouse Wellness Retreat CIC for community benefit, with the safety, dignity and choices of autistic guests and their families at the centre of planning.
Community benefit & accountability
We will use CIC resources for our community purpose, follow the asset lock, and report on activities and accounts as required. We intend to explain how donations support the projects.
Autism-inclusive access
We will plan for reasonable adjustments, clear information, sensory choice and a respectful welcome. Families should be able to tell us what helps before a visit.
Safeguarding people
Before activities begin, we will put child protection procedures, staff training and reporting routes in place. Roles involving regulated work in Scotland will require the appropriate PVG membership. We will check whether any planned childcare or care service needs registration.
Privacy & consent
We will handle guest and children’s personal information carefully, collect only what we need, explain its use and seek appropriate consent for photographs and stories.
Feedback & concerns
We will make it straightforward to ask questions or raise concerns, listen to families, and review our policies and practices as the projects develop.
