Working together for autistic people and their families
We welcome enquiries from NHS teams, local councils and community partners about referrals for autistic people and their families. Our proposed options include day trips and two- to three-day retreats at Lighthouse Balcary Bay Hotel.
We want to shape each visit around the person and family, with attention to mental wellbeing, accessibility, sensory needs and time to rest.
Referral and safeguarding
The Balcary Bay retreat is still in development. Please contact us to discuss day trips and two- to three-day retreats; dates and individual referrals can be confirmed when the service is ready.
Before a visit, we will agree the person’s support needs, consent, supervision, reasonable adjustments, risk and emergency arrangements with the family and referring partner. Safeguarding concerns will be handled under our safeguarding procedures and escalated to the appropriate statutory services where needed.
Do not send identifiable health information in an initial email. We will agree a secure route for any necessary information sharing.
